With normal people everywhere creeped out at the idea that ACORN, probably the nation's most infamous "community organiztion", ever had a hand in "helping" at any election ever, here is a program to note. Milwaukee has an "Adopt-a-Voting Site" program to let community organizations take over the staffing of polling places. http://www.milwaukee.gov/election/Helpmilwaukeevote/AdoptAVotingSite.htm
WI statute says the 2 major political parties can submit lists of people they would like to staff them, but the deadline for those submissions is looming, and in the last 4 years, they haven't done it. So that leaves community organizers. Anyone concerned?
If the City of Milwaukee isn't careful, they are going to be the next municipality to be infamous for a hanging Chad incident.
One look at the list of participating "community organizations" makes me wonder how many other names ACORN is operating under.
