You sound educated so you should know that jujitsu is a killing art which was designed to defeat armor with stabs and strikes to soft targets on the body. This is the same principal, every time i am rolling i am thinking about what i would do if i was not on the mat and fighting for my life, i would got for the eyes and try to tear off ears. Ground fighting is so ugly...

Hey, good stuff. Sport variations are great and can be practiced at full speed and strength. This obviously cannot, but is much better for much weaker people to practice. Sport advicists may say they could always use the eyes and ears like self defense practioners, but if you don't train it you won't do it under stress. Nice vid.

This=No reversal because they catch themselves+Easy armbar because you are stupid enough to attack the head while mounted.

Nice work. This is what will ultimately save your ass in the street. Keep the posts coming.

this vid is superb, it illustrates one of the 3 guidelines to any CQB. If a man can't see he can;t fight ,cant breathe can't fight ,can't physically stand ,can't fight. Apply any 1 of these approaches to the opponent and the attack is over. Most of us have accidentally poked ourselves in the eye,and when ya did it ya weren't thinkin about jack shit but the sereing pain in your eye,so logic would have it apply the same way, except this is no accident and I'd be looking to scratch his brain, peace.

Are you looking for injure to uke??
-
@son0fearth that is part of the jujitsu - all the jujitsu or judo in sport and mma right is only parts of whole picture. just because somebody tell u you can't use it in a mma match doesn't mean u don't learn or practice it.
-
@son0fearth Many of us practice martial arts not for sport, but for survival. I mainly train karate, which also can't be practiced at full strength--my uke would have a broken knee and crushed voice box in the first minute of the fight. However, I train hard enough to know that my techniques, when applied in life and death situations, can be effective. Thank God I've never yet had to use them for real.

@son0fearth Hmm....that is true, but to fill you up; he doesn't give a complete explanation and that's a very dangerous thing in this case!
Remember, you don't know what the hell he is going to do so you need an allround curriculum!
The krav version then again....is complete ^^
But that's a whole different story.
Fact is that it's indeed a incomplete (bad) video but non the less....this guy is good at what he can, not in what he wants to explain!
This is bad technique and irresponsible instruction.
You can't practice these techniques.
Jujutsu and Judo techniques may take longer to learn, but once learned, you can practice them completely, and at full speed against a live opponent.
This is one of the main reasons why striking styles lost to grappling styles in early MMA.
You can never practice eye gouges, bell claps, etc. in your own dojo, because to complete the technique you NEED to severely and permanently injure your uke.
ps: Lame Gi.
