How does this scanner compare to the Epson Perfection V500 Photo? This one was highly recommended and forget Vista people, get a Mac!

This thing is a POS....i bought it a year and a half ago and it still doesnt do what i wanted it to, then to add insult to injury the support people barely speak english, takes forever to scan slides....what a boat anchor!!!!!!!!!! Thanks HP.

hey , i have a question, i have this G4010 scanner I tried to scan negative slide...there is no tray in the box...anyway, I use macintosh, and whatever I scan, the picture come out super dark, can you help??????

@lorachikita SWounds like a cool job... Do you answer questions? I was a pro photographer and artist. Do you have a lot of "toys"? What would you recommend I think it would be cool to have jacks for cameras, web photo devices and et al. If it's wireless can y6ou use a camer that is also wireless. My cam is sooo small and I have fat fingers. Very hard to use. You could run a whole class on the different things it could do. Say Hi! to all the guys at HP!

Try asking Tiger a question. LOL They'll never answer you!!! You can buy sacnner printers that will scan photo's/negatives PLUS act as a printer. For about the same size. A pro copy photo store scans at 300 dpi and said you don't need anything better.

Actually I do know what I'm talking about. I'm one of the senior technicians with HP. I work with Scanjets and Digital Senders. As for your opinion about the scanner, that's our choice.
