Bobby Jones is one of the greatest jazz, groove, funk, soulful organists to ever play the instrument. He is relatively unknown outside of Buffalo NY and is deserving of MUCH wider recognition. His playing is phenomenal. On these recordings he is playing left hand bass, melodies and ensemble figures, simultaneous foot pedal bass, left hand comping and amazing solos. Very few who have ever played the instrument can do it at this level. If he were soloing only it would still be phenomenal.

I met Bobby Jones in during a concert in Erie a few years back. Helped him fix the bass pedals on his rental B3. I'll never forget that little trio show they put on, it was every bit as good as this recording and more.
