Going toward downtown Minneapolis on a northbound Hiawatha Line train, June 3, 2007. This view was taken while passing through Humphrey Terminal station at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Since the line opened in 2004 this has been the only situation in which trains have routinely skipped a stop. The station was closed about a year for the construction of an adjoining parking structure and the replacement of an enclosed walkway from the train to the terminal. Most of the station signs and other furnishings were removed or obscured, and the passenger platform was used as a staging area for some of the work. The construction was close enough to complete to re-open the station on September 8, 2007.
The train's next stop is at Lindbergh Terminal, the main air terminal at MSP.
A shuttle bus connected Humphrey and Lindbergh terminals during the construction. With the re-opening of the Humphrey terminal station, trains now provide connecting service between the two air terminals.
