thats excatly what im talking about. drug use is a social medical problem. don't stop the source of the drugs stop the need for the drugs. i'm tired of watching "cops" and seeing poor people being arrested for possesion of drugs saying "i just got out of jail for possesion of drugs". legalize marijuana, tax it and use some of the money to give these people medical attention, and i don't mean for their physical health i mean for their emotinal or even mental health.

@cbrown628 What you don't understand is that the war on drugs is not a war on anyone but the US citizen. Do you honestly think the War on Drugs is fixing anything for you or me? Ron Paul wasn't saying the church needs to do it all... He was saying government CANNOT and SHOULD NOT. The War on Drugs is not designed to stop drug use or sale, but rather make it MORE profitable and create a police state. You need to educate yourself, your heart is in the right place, but your wrong IMHO

What Ron Paul does not understand is that this is a national security issue. He desires churches to tell people that what they are doing is wrong and for them to fix it. But when thousands of drug users are affecting the american people what are the churches going to do. He is addressing this as a doctor to a patient and not as the leader of the american army.
