  • @g0801215 it's AGAR its lak a gelforming agent

  • What the hell is orgor

  • good job

  • actually you can autoclave at home, ever hear of a pressure cooker? they get up to the correct temperature and have to ability safely to get to the correct pressure.

  • i see you threw your 1" bar... why do our lab stirrers spin >1600rpm when anything above ~1000rpm throws the bar?

  • You can use any utensil having high pressure heating property ; you can use it for for primary bacterias.

  • gd job

  • @ilovegambit Not really possible. An autoclave is the best way to sterlize objects. You can use some other compounds and gases but they are too toxic and hard to handle. Boiling only kills vegetative bacteria, but spores and some viruses and prions will survive. An autoclave is the best way to sterlize mediums.

Sorry, I know you didn't want to hear that. Autoclaves can be expensive. Is the project for school or just fun? Maybe you can rent or use one for free at your closest community college?

  • m thinkn of doin a project on how soaps affect microorganisms..so cn u tell me hw i can make a medium at home since i dont have an autoclave at home.

  • Bravo, well done
