This is a demonstration and explanation of how we give a nasal flush (aka neti pot) to our 1 year old daughter. She has received these regularly since she was 1 month old. As a result, she has been virtually free from runny noses, drooling, coughing, heavy sneezing, and other cold or sick symptoms. Bear in mind, she has experienced these symptoms in some form, but they are indicators that she is getting sick and will get sicker if we don't do something about it. We can knock out any of the sick signs in a couple days. Regularly administered as we describe, morning and before bed, allows for a delightful day and a restful night's sleep for everyone. We give credit to our midwife, Carol, who suggested it instead of a nasal aspirator.
Once you are done with your child, do a bigger version (real neti pot or nasaline) and feel better yourself!
Cheers!
