During the week of the 2007 Miss America Pageant, the National Association of Miss America State Pageants (now dissolved) decided to be proactive with their time in Las Vegas. Instead of just saying they were about volunteerisim, we embodied it.
NAMASP, and volunteers from many of the fifty states, helped in the construction of three homes in one day. As a matter of fact, we did too much work. By the time we were done, we had completed over a weeks worth of work, and the official volunteers on the site had to halt construction until more supplies had arrived.
This is the sideshow.
