@daggerheart03 I AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

I love the way they say go at the beginning

@mumbleinout While that guy is wrong, that too is an overstatement. The Bends deserves more respect, and I think it has some of Radiohead's best songs. Planet Telex is actually my favourite RH song overall, (Think what you will of that) and Just is an absolute classic. Not to forget Street Spirit, one of my highest rated songs by them, which I'd say is simply incredible, as beautiful as Pyramid Song...

mumbles in this other one, and barely any synth in this one!" That's not my point. Im just sayin, all is well and good, do what you feel like, keep making the music that makes you happy, keep messing around with synths and different rhythms and distorted vocals and strange dancing ,etc. But please, for christ's sake, ONCE IN A WHILE, fire up the amps, plug in, bang out a 4/4 rhythm, and give us a soaring, melodic, beautiful piece of rock n roll like you used to!

Finally, I fully support their right to do whatever they want musically and "experiment" if they want to. That being SAID, I'm sorry, but I like Radiohead best as a rock band. And while there might be some decent tracks in the 14 year catalog of their work that I dismissed, as a whole it just doesn't do it for me, soundwise. You can pick it apart and say "you're wrong, look...there's a guitar riff in THIS song, and vintage Thom vocal delivery instead of distorted

Do you really believe that, or are you just ironically responding to my somewhat closed-minded comment? :) I find it hard to believe that anyone could sincerely think that. I guess its a listenable song. Now, I like Radiohead. I certainly respect them and respect their musicianship. I appreciate their willingness to go out on a limb as well as stick it to the music industry, and TOTALLY sympathize with the view that music should be viewed as art and not a product.

And Kid A is not atonal. It is still very much grounded on pop-song structures. Everything In Its Right Place is catchy as hell. Just atypical not atonal.

@19BCG87 No. Pyramid Song alone is worth more then The Bends times one hundred.
-
@19BCG87n You don't really seem to know what you're talking about. Radiohead didn't 'throw in the towel' for the sake of experimentation, it's obvious they were pretty sick of only doing rock music and wanted to move forward into the electronic genre. Even so, from Kid A onward they do still have a lot of rock music, which is great. Most fans (myself included) like them now as much as they ever did - I happen to like synth.
You can't tell me you don't appreciate an album such as In Rainbows...
-
Yeah well, to me it is VERY sad when a perfectly good rock band throws in the towel to focus on putting out synth-based atonal noise for the sake of "pushing the envelope" or "experimentation" or whatever other pretentious excuse they can come up with. Especially given the barren wasteland that is today's music scene. Fact is, their entire post-OK Computer discography COMBINED is not worth one track off The Bends.

@MrCruZ1992 It's no doubt that the Beatles are the most influential band ever, that however doesn't mean that they are the best, just because you do something first doesn't mean no one can improve on it

@JimPatriotPL I guess I'm a nerd then. Nerds are smarter than dumbasses like you and they have a better taste in music.
