Sometimes transferring subway lines in Tokyo is a bit of a feat. Lines can be more than to 300m away from other lines at the same station, all underground. This was one of the longer transfers we had to do to get to the station near our hotel. It was about 9 minutes in real time, and ~300m at the Akasaka-Mitsuke station.

This was at about 10pm, not even close to rush hour! What a long walk to an inconvenient subway location - the hotel was the Tokyo Green Palace, which was right across the street from one of the exits.
