When I got stills from the movie, I noticed that a lot of them were funny, especially the ones with people making goofy faces. So I put most of them together to tell the story with silly captions. The music is the original cast because that's the only version I have. I'm not trying to offend anyone; this is just for fun.

Note (9/19/07): I've noticed an unfortunate trend with the new positive/negative comment button all over YouTube. People give negatives to comments that express different views than theirs. This is really juvenile: please don't do it. Bad grammar, spam, and downright flames are one thing, but differing opinions is quite another.

  • Raoul IS stupid! The Phantom was 10 times better, if not more or less!

  • @menslady125 I made this video almost four years ago. I don't think that any more. I really wish people would grow up and stop character bashing. I've seen it in all the fandoms I've been in since POTO and it's really juvenile.

But I really am glad that so many people still enjoy the video even though some parts of it make me cringe.

  • @kenwen4:

Yeah, well, you see, I understand how the Phantom feels. I sort of know what it's like to not get the one you love, and I know what it's like to be one of the outcasts.

And in addition, I really think Christine was being downright mean. I mean, the Phantom loved her dearly, taught her to sing, made sure she got the lead roles...and she spit in his face.

  • @menslady125 She didn't spit in his face. He presented himself as an incorporeal being for years and then revealed himself as a human man and expected her to love him as such. You can't force people to love you. Then he killed people and threatened to kill more and blackmailed her emotionally. As she says at the end, awe becomes fear becomes pity becomes hate. This makes him realize his soul really is distorted and he repents. People put too much blame on Raoul and Christine.

  • @kenwen4:

Well...think what you will. I will continue to feel bad for him.

  • @menslady125 Not condoning his actions doesn't mean I don't feel sorry for him. That's the point of tragedies. He's the victim of an uncaring society.
