  • @handycappo Well that's something different entirely. If you want to ask who's the better piano player then I'd go with Rach. If you want to say musician I'd probably say Bellamy (he has indeed mastered all the instruments he plays). As for composing that's difficult to say as we are separated by time eras. I'd still probably go with Rach but at this point no one can compose a song like Bellamy. Muse is by far one of the top acts out there. They just do two different things is all.

  • @Otsego ye ok well matt can play alot of instuments but what good is that when u cant compose somthing orriginal and as good as a rach piece... my friend said he wanted to learn all the wind instuments but he was a fine guitarist. now hes good at flute and tin wistle but will never master any of them. matt is no where near as good at the piano as rach was and thats that

  • @handycappo Well it's impossible to decide who the greater musician is. I don't think people really understand how good Bellamy is at just about every instrument. However Rachmaninov is one of the best composers of all time. Everyone should be influenced by that man. Not just his music. His life is incredibly inspiring.

  • @Otsego ye rachmaninov is a great romantic, and im in favour of mat using a rachmaninov piece to create a new one but its just the fans with their non acceptance that their hero was influenced by some1 who in my oppinion is a far far far better musician than matt bellamy is and that non acceptance means rachmaninoff goes un acknowledged for his contribution to the song. thats my rant over...

  • @handycappo It's very similar but do you have any idea how many songs have that same progression? I for one am a big fan of musicians infusing classical (in this case Romantic) pieces into their music.

  • @nikolaygavlishin ye thats more like it... have a look at matt belamy out of muse rippin off this piece relentlessly type in matt belamy the piano master

  • @handycappo search for Galina Vale's version of this peice.

  • its very simple but i dont know how much better can be done

  • @DaNorthernLight you're right. while I don't really want to get into whether or note the classical guitar is more difficult to be accomplished at, this is much more difficult to do than it appears.

  • so what, parts are left out, inversions are changed a little, and the melody isn't 100%, but this is still an amazing transcription and it's played well. Great job, this was really well done!
