@RamboKot It literally means "the opposite of -not-". It's a word that doesn't exist in English, that's used as an extra affirmation.

You didn't cover the west-Flemish (Dutch speaking Belgians from the very west) system for saying 'nee' or 'neen'

You basically add a suffix depending on the pronoun you would use, if you used a full sentence to negate.

Nink (ik)

Nig (jij)

Nij (hij/zij)

Niw (wij)

Nij (jullie)

Nis (zij plural)

@wybo2 Dutch speaking Belgians is not Dutch. They call it Flemish. Also Flemish is coming from Dutch. Like Dutch is coming from German. But Flemish they more use an accent you could say.
