This is the simplest motor in the world. But what unexplained phenomenon makes it go? Make an ultra-simple homopolar electric motor with only a battery, a magnet, and a piece of wire. Cool science fair project or weekend project.

  • @Riot454di Room temp copper is not a super conductor. The reason a conductor becomes 'super' when chilled down is that the molecular movement slow down, and stops when reaching -273.. celcius. The electrons are always ready to jump to another atom when not moving. If warming up to +200 c. the movement is so rapid that electrons are not ready to pass, and thats resistivity. The wire is shorting the battery, and if done to a cheap led acid type, it'll blow . Batteries are accumulators!!

  • @chuvak1 @tcgrey1 Where can I get one of those batteries?

  • Between the battery and the magnet, you have ENERGY GALORE to spin that little wire. Of course it works.

  • this is not an unexplainable phenomenon it is very easily explained through the physics of electromagnetic fields.

I disagree with the title of this video.

  • fuckin magnets, how do they work..

  • How long will it spin for?

  • It works because we all have been lied too for over 125 years. Free Electricity has always been there in fan motors. Using Nikola Teslas designs on controling a magnetic fields rotation , the one can capture energy from the spinning magnet wheel by having the wheel follow a North/south man made magnetic field in a thin wire around the wheel. Just look into Nikola Tesla's Magnetic Motors and electric motors you'll see it works you just have to build it

  • @tcgrey1 kjmagnetics

  • this is a great video . thanks for teaching us how to use that. its a very great and smart idea

  • I did this and the battery exploded

  • It's called telekinesis, I saw what you were you doing, I caught you slippin'
