In November 2007 a CT scan diagnosed I had a colloid cyst of the third ventricle. This is a small tumour within the brain that if left untreated will eventually lead to death!
My video tells part of my story. I will be doing a tandem skydive in November to raise money for the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgey Development Foundation as my way of thanking them for all their hard work, support and care. Enjoy! http://www.justgiving.com/Jan-Curtis

  • I had this surgery in 0ct 2006 at age 33. They shaved my head from the front to the crown. I had a major mullet. They did a craniotomy on my but didn't us a plate. They replaced my skull and screwed it in with small titanium "connectors". I didn't take one picture and regret not documenting it. It has been interesting watching it on someone else. I'm glad it worked out for you.

  • @MsMhege Same here. Had a craniotomy in November 2006 for a tumor. I had a shaved head, and refused to take a picture of myself cause I just wanted to forget the whole thing. I regret that now.

  • got another follow up MRI on Dec 23rd!

  • @BABYGURL200620 Awe, I'm sorry to hear that you need to have such an operation but at least you have hope in knowing that there's something that's causing this right? I know you'll be okay. I have a pacemaker so an MRI has to be considered under great supervision. I'm heading up to Philadelphia Radiology because they actually do MRI's on pacemaker patients and I'm so happy. Keep me posted on how your doing. God bless you dear and I'll pray for you.
