"The Funny Company" - "Lady Bug" (1963)

Episode of a American cartoon series from 1963, which I picked up on 16mm a while back...

Reportedly, there were 260 or so of these, each one with a little educational segment within. This one's titled "Lady Bug".

Wow - Chief Screeching Train Whistle! (Or was it Screaming?) And Shrinking Violet! They are the only characters I remember from the show (I was probably only about 4 when it was on). Mattel made a talking Shrinking Violet doll in the 1960s (no, the doll didn't shrink). My younger sister had one and she loved it.

i am very familiar with this, it is has been on constant rotation (in color..but faded) on one of the free to air regligiousy satellite channels on the optus satellite in australia which originates out of america. .....maybe its now public domain or its educational content is approved by the religious tycoons

Conniptions: Have any Australian local kid shows ever aired the Funny Company segment mixed in with other cartoons suitable for local kids shows (Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies (Bugs Bunny, etc.), Popeye, Casper, Woody Woodpecker, Felix the Cat, Mighty Hercules, Terrytoons (Mighty Mouse, etc.) Bullwinkle and Rocky, Underdog, Filmation Superman, Filmation Aquaman, Filmation Superboy, Filmation Batman, Clutch Cargo, Big World of Little Adam, Tennessee Tuxedo, others)?
