I describe the rapid's finances, their pollution and inefficiency compared to cars, their unsightly filth and ask whether their maintenance procedures should not be investigated.

  • Look at their dirt, indeed. Metaphorical and literal.

  • Aye; most of the streetcars across the whole country were bought out by auto manufacturers and removed, to increase auto sales. San Fransisco naturally was one of the few who refused to give up their system for the money offered, and it's certainly continued to be a benefit to that city.

I also would like to know the sources on these stats. Until then, they are completely unbelieveable, especially when reputable sources give information to the contrary.

  • Twice the operating cost? Scams? Public Unions and Ward heelers? 20% Less efficient?

This video doesn't make any sense. And yes, they were wrong to get rid of street cars, auto manufacturers bought street car companies and had them torn out to increase dependence on cars... i think I leaned that at the Grand Rapids public museum in 3rd grade.

This video is full of out right lies, where are you getting your numbers? They seem made up.

  • Great video! The Rapid is hiding Silverline from Voters. It is not a trolly bus and it is not Rapid Transit either. It is according to the Rapids own independent environmental study a prescription for massive traffic jams in and around Division, and the Silverline would be SLOWER than the current bus because it can even use the expensive Traffic signal Priority system that we would pay for. It would stop at traffic lights realizing no increase in speed but still eliminating a lane. Nonense bus

  • Where are you getting these numbers? Not even ITPWatch is claiming these outrageous numbers.
