Inspection of the On-going Construction of the 100,000th Classroom Built During PGMAs Term

As part of her strong commitment to provide quality education for Filipinos, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo led the inspection of the on-going construction of a schoolbuilding where the 100,000th and 100,001st classrooms of her administration are being built at the Brgy. Diaz in Porac, Pampanga.

In her short statement, President Arroyo gave directives to Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Jesli Lapus to grant additional funds for the finishing of the schoolbuilding. Furthermore, she said that DepEd must provide new teachers for the forthcoming school.

The event served as a milestone celebration for the Department of Education for building thousands of classrooms across the country.


Also present in the event were Presidential Management Staff Director General Hermogenes Esperon, DepEd Region III Director Mario Ramirez, Cong. Carmelo Lazatin and other local government officials.(*CTP)
