  • Are you showing only black Africa? Some Arab cities like the Libyan Capital, Egypt's Cairo and the Algerian Capital in Africa are the richest but are not included.

  • @19volvocar only Capital Cities of Sub-Saharan Africa

  • @19volvocar The figure shows the GDP per capita. For example, Algeria's GDP is US$268.9 billion, or US$8,100 on a per capita basis where else Botswana's GDP is $US13.41 billion and its per capita is $ 28,700. Therefore by comparison commodities are expensive and life is hard in Algeria compared to the lifestyle in Botswana. I hope that helped.

  • @MrAutlwetse GDP PPP Botswana not $ 28,700, it's the capital of Botswana - Gaborone city GDP PPP Botswana : 15,000 - 16,000 USD

  • @19volvocar Black Africa is the only Africa. Arabs are invaders.

  • @egbigan Africa for Africans. Those pale skinned devils have already raped Africa for the last 200 years; now Arabs want to stake a claim in Africa too. Going around Libya murdering the black natives who were there when Libya was called Phut. Fuck off back to Pakistan.

  • @mymarkis666

    Amen!!!

  • Johannesburg Is the most powerful commercial centre on the African continent. There's hardly a major international company doing serious business in Africa that has not looked to Johannesburg as the gateway.

Johannesburg generates 16% of South Africa's wealth, and employs 12% of the national workforce. Some 74% of South African companies have their headquarters here. It has a financial, municipal, roads and telecommunications infrastructure that matches leading first world cities

  • Again i have to ask ! are you people insane ? have you never heard of a city called Johannesburg ? hint it happens to be nicknamed the CITY OF GOLD"

how on earth do you get Pretoria and Cape town in this bullshit video and leave Johannesburg off

just another example of crappy research

  • who here believes mr black guy is mr white guy in disguise?

    thumbs to show

  • @53Africa Im not disagreeing with that there has been progress. There has been lots of progress in most African countries in the past 10 years. African countries today are offering great business opportunities and growing markets, (especially considering the crisis in Europe) which is why it is good people get a different image than the usual "hopeless continent" image. However despite great opportunities the battle to combat poverty is not over yet, and I think it is anything but "automatic".

  • @shanghaiedsigrid?Angolans made progress when UNITA reconcile with the MPLA Government in Luanda. They were recruited in the Angolan Army and many have even been given money and Transportation 2 live wherever they want-2.Chinese are now Building Houses for our Angolan people to live in but because of language barrio, the bring their own worker and employ only few Natives. At least 200 Building & Construction Companies in Angola create jobs opportunities.Hospitals Doctors & Nurses,Mines,Roads uc.

  • @shanghaiedsigrid My point was simply that yes there are impresive growth reccords in Africa, yes cities are modern and life can be modern too, but we can't forget that some of the images shown from some cities are from countries that still do experience gross poverty and inequality. There is still a lot of work to be done.

  • @53Africa No that is absolutely true. African countries are far from the same. Botswana is definitely an impressive country. But looking at the other end, Swaziland for example, or Angola, countries that have such vast potential to improve people's lives, yes Angola is growing at a phenomenal rate but how are people meant to benefit from this if the wealth from natural resource extraction is not invested into sustainable economic activity. One day the oil will be finished,

  • @shanghaiedsigrid?If Mobutu Sese Seko 1930-1997 took his Money to Swiss Banks does not mean the whole of Africa does the same.Botswana has the strongest currency in Africa because of his lower population but nobody go 2 Sweden.

  • @19volvocar?Arabs invaded Africa and exterminated our Native Black Egyptians
