Bass cover of Friction - by Room with a View

This is my cover of one of the coolest but underrated italian bands in the underground scene called Room with a View. sorry for the mistakes in playing (I forgot to play the fill at 2:27 and some other random mistakes but it was just a one take recording made for fun during a hot september afternoon!), sorry for poor quality footage and the little latency, just a bad editing I made myself with iMovie and garage band, bass plugged into macbook soundcard..

the bass I used is an Epiphone Jack Casady signature.
the tuning is Eb Ab Db Gb

hey! how does this bass with dropped tuning (ex. DGCF or CGCF)?

@pawelwiesyk hi pawel I tried only DGCF, it is very punchy and mid-boost, I really like that bass cause it mantains the clarity of the sound even at low frequencies.. I think CGCF would be a very stressing tuning for the lowest string, I mean the string maybe would freeze on the fretboard!

@pawelwiesyk well I just tried a few minutes ago, It's not a matter of strings I suppose (I use .100 and sometimes .105) but of fretboard, when you detune 2 tones the string more then occasionally fries on fretboard when you play higher notes (starting from 3d or 5th fret). a friend of mine who always plays with that low tuning brought his bass to a luthier who adjusted the fretboard and solved the problem! but if you play occasionally with that tuning it's not a real big problem I think!
