First aired at the time of the release to theatres of the, in my opinion, not-so-special editions of the first three Star Wars films, this television special, hosted by Howie Long, takes a look at what was involved in their restoration (and contamination).
George Lucas wouldn't know the meaning of the word "preservation" if it came up and slapped him across the head so hard.

I find your lack of Faith disturbing.
Without these versions Star Wars would
go the way of the 80% of the Films we have
Lost since the beginning of film.
Bravo George for spending the time and Money to save our heritage.

@alluvialedaempfer I never did think of it that way. I guess it does make sense that they will not be working off the original material, but the past DVD releases.

@JimmyJones nobody is complaining about the the enhacing of the video quality, just of the REAL changes to the films. and the audio ... is not enhacing at all, they pretty much screwed up alot of the sound-track by messing around with it over and over. it is like with a picture with pixel quality.. the more often you save it, the more loss of quality.
