This was taken from the 1980 VHS of "The Muppet Movie" and it was the first Muppet film to be released on home video. It had the AFD logo at the beginning. The 1995 VHS of "The Muppet Movie" did contain the Jim Henson Productions logo plastered over the AFD logo.

AFD was a partnership between Lord Lew Grade (the founder of ATV) in England and MCA (Universal) in the United States for the purpose of distributing theatrical features in North America.
-
@eyeh8nbc AFD was a division of ATV (Associated Television), a British television company, who also owned ITC. So ITC and AFD were one and the same.

I don't know, I only have the Magnetic VHS release, which used the AFD logo.

You mean neither version of The Great Muppet Caper had the Space Diamonds logo? I thought that the pre-1993 VHS of Great Muppet Caper would feature the Space Diamonds logo. Did the CBS/FOX video version of The Muppet Movie feature the Space Diamonds logo or not?
-
They just went straight to the credits.

And AFD was the US division of ITC so The Muppet Movie used the AFD logo while the Great Muppet Caper had the Universal logo. Did the 20th Century Fox and CBS/FOX video versions of The Great Muppet Caper have the Space Diamonds logo or did it just go to the opening credits?
How come the AFD logo appeared instead of the ITC logo? I thought that if the announcer said ITC Entertainment, the space diamonds logo would appear.

ITC had the video rights to this studio's movies at the time. I don't think any movies ever used that ITC intro.
