Are you one of the soldiers in 1944 ?

  • Franz Gockel' is portrayed as using an MG42 machine gun, when in fact he used a Polish made machine gun. The latter has a lesser rate of fire than the MG42, and it's the distinctive sound of the MG42 that is shown here. The only MG42 machine gun in front of where Capa landed, on Easy Red Sector, was manned by Heinrich Seveloh, who fired his MG42 from the end of a trench at the German strong point WN62.
