this was a great show

All of the Decemberists fans have GOT to be cynical, or none of them would find The Rake's Song funny. In my opinion at least.
-
It's interesting, the end of The Rake's Song here has a lot more tones of regret and worry than the final version does. It adds sympathy to The Rake that wasn't in the actual album.
-
I know it's not spelled like this, but i love that he says Isaiah. That is my name.
-
The second song is The Rake's Song, and is the new single. That would make the first song apparently "Interlude" if you follow the album's tracklist. However, it is most likely "Isn't it a Lovely Night" based on the lyrics.
-
the songs are night and rake. the working title is just "Night/Rake"

jeeze, maybe I just can't hear it on the video, but the crowd sounds dead!! When he played this song in Portland we were crackin up after every verse!! So dark...so funny...so Colin...
nice camera quality. and I LOVE the second song. When he played it in my city, everyone was cheering when people started dying. only decemberists fans....
