You many not like Kenny Rogers, but his track record speak for itself. 50+ years in the music industry, 70+ top hit singles, the 8th best-selling artist of all-time. He's up there with Elvis, The Beatles, Billy Joel and Elton John. I don't think you can over-rate the man when you consult the facts!

@gambler2550 , my rule was if it was special, always choose SP mode if recording on VHS tape. SLP was for longer stuff if I knew there was not enough tape if I chose SP.

Good old days. Its funny. When I was a kid in the early 80s, I hated country music. Hard rock and pop was my thing. But in the late 80s, I fell in love with it. Now all country and pop sucks. As of today, I love all music 80s and before that. You don't realize how great it used to be until its gone. Today's music is so synthetic and pointless.
