@kulotzification for a beginner 7D is actually a bit too expensive. 40D or 50D will be way more than enough for a beiginner. i actually study photography and don't fell the need for anything else than 40D, although a 5DII might be in my hands in near future. but yeah you should get 40D or 50D and canon 24-70mm 2.8L USM lens these should take very nice pictures and should be way more than a beginner could want.

I actully like the 20d better than the 40d. Even though its already a 6 year old camera, it still takes amazing pictures! And its funny that I like the smaller screen lol.

it is faster at 11fps but no dx mode not in full frame mode...
