whether it's the 5diii or the 5dx (body only- rumored $3,000+) it could end up costing almost 2x more for additional gears if you're going to film with it. and not to mention the appropriate softwares needed to edit, cc, and vfx it. even with all of that said, it could still end up as a totally crappy work

Fuck the 5d mk III, wait for the 7d mk II to come out, then after the price drop buy the 7d mk I, with the saved money you can buy the lenses which suit your style without having to care about the price. The 7d is still a great camera, which has many Features the 5d mk II lacks (that autofocus, that burstrate...) Of course the 5d mk III will likely have those features, too, but why pay 2500$ more? Unless you want full frame and the benefits of it you Don't need any 5d.

why would canon release another model in the line, when the 5dii is still competing amazingly against the newer nikon counterparts?

i do want a 5D III if i buy a 5D II or 7D it will be annouced, luckily im broke and will never be able to justify spending that much money on a camera to my girlfriend without at least proposing with a 4000 pound ring, which i was planning to use towards a EF 800 mm lense to go on whatever D i end up with, though in many ways my Gf has the best D and thats a double D, but she will not let me capture them in photons and emit them through a nice 3D LED TV
