Drum Battle - Dan Cox and Shane Young

Whilst in the recording studio laying a track down for my band (Overdrive) I was lucky enough to have a drum duet with Shane Young, the studio owner, and fantastic drummer! This is just a jam, we hadn't ever played together until the camera started recording.

I'm offering my comments as constructive criticism; in no way am I trying to flame the obvious skill.

I do think you've (Dan) overused the double-pedal, but it's controlled and tight so you get away with it, and they are great fun to muck around with. The cymbals are a little trashy, but I think that's the recording.

I was going to say there was a lack of structure, but then I read the description.

So yeah, for two people who've never jammed before; good going. Like it.

Thanks for that, nice comments :D the one thing we agreed before the jam was that I'd do lots of double bass stuff cos he didn't have a double pedal, so I kinda stuck to it all the way. Going back to the studio in the summer though so some more jams to come!

right now i'm just like did i just see two drummers that good and still never heard of them anywhere that just ludacris i wish i was that good but i've only played for like two years so i'm only able to do the basics and make lame covers but that was just amazing please give me some advice XD
