In answer to the question, no, this is not true Rom dance. We do not dance in the formats he does (so close to the woman, women that close to other women, and we NEVER strip in our dances), but this a fantasy interpretation. As a full Romani, I just sigh when our dance is sexualized, but I have to say, except for the use of my culture's name, this is an AWESOME piece. Great costuming, all nice movers.
