Nancy Miller, executive producer of TNT's Saving Grace, describes what she looks for in a writer, what she sees as a lack of diversity in Hollywood and the three things writers need to be successful. Miller, who began writing at the University of Oklahoma before moving to Los Angeles in 1978, sold her first script while working as a bartender. Along with Saving Grace, she has created NBC's The Round Table, Leaving L.A. for CBS and Lifetime's Any Day Now. For more on Nancy Miller and the writing staff of Saving Grace, read the August/September 2009 issue of Written By magazine at Writtenby.com.
