2 Plugged womanbands from (almost)the first one: Joy Of Cooking '67-'74) till my favorite one: Best Friends Forever '03-now.Both with loyal 'sweaty dancers'/fans following them around, both with ungooglable defieying ironic names, able to stand up to the major bands of their time, undenieable sound & lyrics of their own, underrated but separated by time: they could be grandmothers and granddaughter
Rock and roller-Tony Brown & Terry Garthwaite live 10-12-1974(Winterhall, San Francisco)
BestFriendsForever- unknow title- Bri Smith,Jes Seamans& Joe Rand 2008-08-19( first New York gig)

  • I cherish the Terry Garthwaite solo album on which she does this song, and it brings up such memories! I love this as well and glad someone posted it! Terry is alive and well and working in CA.

  • I intend to do a few more uploads of you of cooking/teryy/toni. Any preferences? There is already one more up: a live version of Snow from the 1977 tony/terry project :Just look at my other uploads: and do also support Best friends forever: The joy of a new generation!

  • Will never forget seeing Joy of Cooking and Wet Willie as openers for Pink Floyd in Winterland in 1972. Awesome concert!

  • Does anyone have a recording of "Beginning Tomorrow?"

  • @eus347 Hi. Could you put up Too Late But Not Forgotten from the fist JOC LP? If not, thanks just the same. Appreciate this.

  • is there a non live version of the song or is the album version?

  • I got to be a fan of JoC with Closer to the Ground, but I find I often listen to Beginning Tomorrow.

  • I have been looking for this for a long time! Great to see that their music is finally on cd!
