I think this was the comedy version of a couple of great John Wayne movies.

My favourite film of all time. How to clean up a lawless town without getting stressed whilst always being on the way to Australia and suffering from terminal niceness. Genius!

@KaptKan1 I recently saw a movie made just a couple of years ago. I forget the name of it but it was similar to "Hoosiers" only it was the true story of a girls team. Bruce Dern played the bad guy (and he played it well)

"Joe" is Bruce Dern, a great actor from the 60s and 70s. I wonder whatever happened to him; you don't see him in movies these days.

Sure we do. He plays "Frank," the father of Bill Paxton's character on the HBO series Big Love. Great character, too.
