of course terror attacks were going on before the war, the englishman Lawrence of Arabia taught them how to do it! What caused terror attacks before the war? where do I start, how about starving the hell out of them?

The knee jerk 'I hate john howard and george bush and everything they do is evil' line doesn't achieve anything either. Terrorist attacks of increasing severity were happening before the Iraq war so to say the australia wasn't a target before is just being dishonest. I agree with you that the risk of a terrorist attack has increase since we went to Iraq, but one thing is for sure, a healthy functioning democracy in Iraq would be a good thing.

But she is blaming terrorism on john howard when she says "you got us into this mess" don't you think? What else could she be referring to?

I'm wasn't insulting you, just pointing out how naive it is to say that we only go to other countries to steal stuff.

I also think you have to realise that that the root cause of terrorism is not fighting against it.

she is the victim of the bombing in london

and she is expressing her concerns about being involved in a war that increases australia's chances of becoming a target...
