It's kinda sad what the liberals have reduced gun rights arguments to. The real issue is crime rates & we have mountains of criminology literature/studies showing guns reduce violent crime. They can't directly argue that so they make up some BS about "assault" rifles or "cop killer" bullets. We have gun rights in the US & it's a good thing. Liberals need to get over their idealistic visions

Yes, round for round it is like a "30-30 Lite" as Massad Ayoob describes the 7.62x39. But your typical lever gun, or bolt action doesn't have the ability to rock in a 75 round drum a spit out a round with every pull of the trigger. Rate. Of. Fire. Very important. Lets not kid ourselves because we are afraid of the anti gunners. A semi auto mag fed rifle has more firepower than a damn bolt gun, or even a lever action, regardless of the power of the individual round.
