Fender "Pro Junior" (1994)
15 Watts 10" Eminence speaker, i changed the first preamp tube to a 12AU7 to get more control over the amp, this way i can turn up the volume to 6 without any feedback
i'm using a Seydel "Blues Solist Pro" Harmonica in A and two different mics to check the amp:
1.Astatic JT-30 (early 80's) plus a Boss Delay to fatten up the sound
2.Beyer M55 (late 60's)
check out Seydel harmonica's:

  • Hi again and thanks for the tips on tube swapping.

Another question: I just bought a similar beyer M55 mic you're using here. The signal seemed very weak so I must use different wiring, but the cable has 3 cores (blue, yellow and white), and I'm not sure how I should wire it.

I wired blue to the tip, yellow and ground to the sleeve. Sounds great, but I'm afraid it's incorrect and may cause damage to the mic or the amp.

    How did you wire yours?

    Thanks!

  • @puskajjuuri mine was already wired, i think i sold the mic, cant find it, if it sounds good its ok,

  • Hi! Thank you for your great videos. I have a question about the tube swap:

I have an early 60's amp, Dynacord da 16. It has three 12AX7's. Should I get the same effect (reduction of feedback) if I swapped one of them to a 12AU7? What if I changed all of them?

  • @puskajjuuri if you change all the sound will be muddy not really ok, you have to change the first stage preamp tube to a 12AY or 12AU , thats all

  • Is that a 94 0.o I got a 95 also blonde tolex :]

  • @superiansuper yes 1994

  • @Harpsucker I took changed my preamp tube to a 12AU. Plus, I use a DD-3 with an EQ pedal. Plus, I use a Sure 54 mic

  • @Harpsucker Thank you again. Sorry 'bout the double post... Had some problems with Youtube.

  • @puskajjuuri no

  • @Harpsucker Hi again and thanks for the tip on tube swap!

I just bought a Beyer m55 but it sounds weak. How should I wire it, the blue or the yellow cord to the tip of the plug (there are actually 3 cords)? Could incorrect wiring damage the mic or the amp?

  • @Harpsucker you're a really awesome harpist. I have another question. How do you achieve your vibrato?
