AMAZING Solar Eclipse INDIA,CHINA,JAPAN 2009

The total solar eclipse on the 22nd of July 2009 will be the longest of the 21st century. Lasting over six and a half minutes at the maximum duration (in the same Saros as the long 1991 eclipse). Starting in India along the western shore near Surat the path of the shadow heads towards Butan touching the southern tip of Nepal and the northern edge of Bangladesh. The eclipse passes over the Chinese cities of Chengdu, Suining, Chonging, Wuhan, Xiaogan, Hangzhou, and Shanghai by which time the duration of the eclipse is over five minutes of totality. Leaving Shanghai the path continues into the ocean encountering islands such as Toshima and Akusaki south of Japan and eventually the Marshall islands.

The maximum eclipse duration of 6 minutes and 43 seconds occurs far off the coast in the Pacific Ocean.

why are you assuming so much about me. I'm not european, i didn't even say anything bad about india. you guys may well have discovered eclipses, but you cant invent something in nature. thats like saying man invented the earth.

if i were you i would look into the mayan, egyptian, and chinese ancient civilisations as they too had inherent knowledge of how the universe worked. It wasn't just india and the vedics

I have to use word you know so if you start with invent, I use that however ,solar eclipse is not discovery alone but is inventing too as Europe doesnot like to respect knowledge of India you will feel bad.Similarly Gravity is also by India "Guru-tava-Akakarshan" still you will say Gravity as invention by Newton which is truly wrong by Newton,again in Maths zero by India AryaBhatt,Yoga by Rishi Panini,Kamsutra by Rishi Vatsayan but learn yourself English first than respond.

India did invent and when first eclipse took place in Europe all were confused what happened.In Hinduism Panchang it is written about both solar-lunar eclipse and our in our Astrology too.Update yourself please
