@Cbm314 Not all wall warts run at the same voltage. They can range from 1.5 to 24 volts. There is also the circuitry in the proper charging unit which may step down the voltage even more. NO. It's NOT the same. YES it IS dangerous.

Somebody's gonna get electrocuted or their battery is going to blow up in their face. This is dangerous people. Don't do it. If you charge a batter up too fast, it may explode. Chances are it will just rupture but there is the possibility that it will explode violently. Either way, you could get hurt. Not a smart thing to do.
