All Anti Virus programs are scams. Just FYI. They do very little :)

I just had a rootkit. Malewarebytes quarantined it but couldn't fix it. Took it to the shop for $100. She said she removed the hard drive, hooked to another computer, rebooted in safe mode, said that made it easier to find. After 2 trips to the shop, $100 she got it. Saved all my files, lost nothing. I got rootkit.tdss.gen from a porn site. Slutload. P.S. I have Norton, it did nothing.

Rootkits should not be able to root themselves into the kernel if one runs under non-admin user account.

I hate how people migh tbe comming on here looking for help and all symantec can do is advertise their product

These anti-virus software companies create the virus and sell you the antedote. 360 v3 does not work well with Vista Home Premium, there is a conflict with Microsoft securtiy settings, do not buy this product it is a total waste of money.

Norton 360, is really a good product.
It also allows (unlike KIS), multiple AntiVirus'es or Virus Removals. Its not selfish, you can stretch the protection. Again, you get what you pay for.
