Welcome to ZZreviews episode 30! before I start I just want to say that the following game might not work correctly for all of you, it might appear blurry
or the lightning might be screwed up so check the minimal requirements before getting it!

Medal of Honor got a reboot about a month ago and after a request by TheFatDinosaur I thought why not give it a try. Well here's the review.

You are a member of a tier 1 group in afganistan fighting the taliban however the operation goes wrong...
Like so many first person shooters nowadays Medal of Honor can't really stand out. It simply borrows alot of elements from other shooters like
Cod and Battlefield. The game is very realistic and it gives you a sence of immersion but even so it doesn't really succeed.
The weapons aren't as well done as in Modern warfare 2, the levels aren't as great as in Battlefield and the Graphics aren't as good as in crysis.
Whilst it doesn't really shine on any front, to say the least it holds up no matter what your judging.

The game is very linnear and invisible walls are common. Whilst it with no doubt fixes alot of glitches the realism takes a beating and the enjoyment with it.
There are things like this that drags you out of the experience and has you realise that it's just another one of those FPS's.
AI in this game is below average. Today in the year of 2010 you can expect enemy soldiers to take cover, not just stand still in the open and maybe hit you
once in a while. Whilst the enemy AI sure takes cover and shoots at you they often stand still instead of crouching making it easier to hit them and they
don't really think that much either instead of leaning they rather strafe making them easy target practise.

Online in this game offers Deathmatch, Sector controll, Objective raid and progressive combat mission.
There are three different classes which are the Riflemen, special ops and the sniper all having many guns which you unlock by leveling up much similar to
how you do incod. Instead of killstreak awards you get support actions like UAV and mortar strikes by winning matches. They work similair to how they do in
cod and nothing is very OP. As the game focuses on realism you die fast as well, again similair to how you do in cod, and a one on one battle can and will
often end in seconds.

As well as graphics goes this game looks great, textures and models look nice and the lightning does its job, I can't really give any cons about it either
let's just say it looks real nice. The sounds are of course realistic and for the most part voice acting is great, the music which consists of both
tense beats and slow harmonic strings is nice and sets a tone to the game.

Story wise the game is set in the year of 2002, Afganistan, directly after the 9/11 incident. You and the rest of a
United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group set out to find the ones responsible but after a setup in a city that was supposed to be clear,
everything goes downhill and a massive battle dawns.

Replay value isn't too bad with a Tier 1 mode that involves beating missions at time and a multiplayer that borrowes alot from Bad company 2.

Scoreboard time!

Gameplay: 6/10 Nothing new, nothing to intressting, alot of restriction, the guns doesn't feel as powerful as in for example Bad company 2 or Cod MW2
and it's very linear apart from that however it's a good fps, to bad there's so many minuses. If anything original it has the sliding mechanic
when sprinting press controll to slide into cover. To bad it fails most of the time...

Graphics: 8/10 It looks good sometimes really good. Still it can't reach the cheer brilliance of some of the other titles released this decade.

Sound/Music: 9/10 The sounds are very good and music's good too.

Story: 8/10 It tries something new when it comes to plot and for that I'm thankfull, if it executes great is another thing.

Replay value: 8/10 With a multiplayer that works real good and some extra stuff like the tier 1 mode it'll have you playing for a while, esspesially if you
like games like MW2 and Bad Company 2 as it borrowes alot from them.

Total: 39/50 It's a good game. If you're thinking about getting this game I'd say do it! Don't expect something groundbreaking, mindblowing or simply amazing
just think of it as any other FPS and it might actually overwin your expectations. It doesn't execute as well as some of the titles it borrowes from but it's
sure worth a buy.

Cya in the next ZZreviews bye! :D
