Myself performing at the Mongolian Hoomi Festival 2006

In 2006, my teacher, Ganbold, invited me, Andrew, to participate in the Mongolian Hoomi Festival of 206. We drove for two days, five flat tires, and did two performances, one in Hovd Hot and the other in Chandmon Som, both locations in the Altai Mountains.

For me it was a combination of things: a LOT of study (anatomy, etc.), experimentation, a long association with Tuvans including Huun-Huur-Tu, trips to Tuva, etc.

Then, much practice, performing, teaching...

It's been a great process and I've been very fortunate!
