In 2006, my teacher, Ganbold, invited me, Andrew, to participate in the Mongolian Hoomi Festival of 206. We drove for two days, five flat tires, and did two performances, one in Hovd Hot and the other in Chandmon Som, both locations in the Altai Mountains.

  • Cool! Fun singing for the natives, eh? Is your teacher TS Ganbold?

    Thanks for sharing,

    Steve

  • Hey, thanks. Mongolians love concerts so of course it was great. T. Ganbold was my brief second teacher. Probably the same one. Enxjargal was my first and he taught me most of what I know. And you? How did you learn?

  • why dont i know you?

  • I don't know. You tell me. But it's nice to meet you. Sounds good.

  • You are amazing !!!

  • For me it was a combination of things: a LOT of study (anatomy, etc.), experimentation, a long association with Tuvans including Huun-Huur-Tu, trips to Tuva, etc.

    Then, much practice, performing, teaching...

It's been a great process and I've been very fortunate!

  • very good, c'est trop bien !

  • Good stuff buddy boy!! Very cool!
