Steve Dawson is no virtuoso but he really does underpin the band's sound. Graham's not the greatest guitarist either but has excellent phrasing. Saxon lost a big part of their sound when they ditched these guys.

don't care about the singer, the whole band gives everything.
I think oliver and dawson quit the band cause of biff, he's not a nice guy.

No way in hell are this lot better than SAXON!!!
If so, why are Biff and the boys headlining gigs like Wacken and this bunch are playing pubs and pub carparks!!!!!!! Nuff said.

im a Saxon fan. ive only just found out about this "cover band"! Its a real sad shame but... they are better than Saxon! sorry biff!

I can't believe Graham Oliver and Pete Dawson left Saxon with this yahoo singer. Saxon was better with them, but now my memories of Saxon just isn't the same. BTW, The Saxon of today are the Monster on tour, making such great albums and Headlining everywhere. This singer looks and sounds like a Rooster with a sore throat.

I don't know about the internal politics of the band. But I know that Saxon are now making the best music of their career, have you listened to Into The Labyrinth or Lionheart? Leaving aside pre-conceptions? Oliver/Dawson Saxon sound like what they are, their own tribute band.that singer isn't fit to be Biffs roadie, you'd have to concede that surely? do they even write new material? I respect your opinion but I stick by my original post, it isn't Saxon. They're a footnote in the saxon story.
