You might add that the girl talking to Harry Moran (then billed as Henry Morgan) is Ann Rutherford. The film also had a great performance by Lynn Bari.

I love this movie....I thought that was Dale Evans, probably before she met Roy....great 40s Big Band music....good cast: George Montgomery, Harry Morgan, Cesar Romero, Carole Landis, Glen Miller and Jackie Gleason, before he got famous!!!

"Boom Shot" (without the overlapping dialogue at the beginning) was featured on virtually all LP soundtrack compilations of Miller's films, from the '50s through the '80s, on RCA, 20th Fox, and Mercury, 'gregory'. It should have been issued on CD by now...

I'm sure it's easy to get it, such as any song!

The song playing on the jukebox is a swinging Glenn Miller instrumental, "Boom Shot", written especially for the film by Miller and trumpeter Billy May (who later became a bandleader himself), although Billy's wife Arletta officially shared co-authorship of the tune with Glenn.

I thought I had all Glenn Miller Recordings, but "Boom Shot" is new to me! It was neat when I saw Billy May's credits on this film... and learned he was in the band! Yes, he's well known as much as Mr. Miller!
