First half of a tribute video to those who fell during the first world war, by a group of people who went on a war tour of the area...The company who organise the tours, Legers, provide a first class service and very knowledgable guides to help us tourists to understand the horrors that were suffered by those on the front.
(This video is NOT sponsored by Legers, and no money has been paid for this tribute)
I couldn't put this video on utube in its entirety as it is over 10 minutes! Please see second half for the brilliant finale!!!!
The cenotaph at 1:09 is the Canadian Memorial at Mount Sorrell, a few hundred metres southeast of Ypres. A different place and battle from the Somme. The Canadian Memorial on the Somme is at Courcellette. I have two great uncles who were killed in 1916, one at each place. Both kiilled in action witihn a kilometer of the two cenotaphs.

the second part of this video is really good. The music really fits the pictures. Really good job mate! I'd like to take this tour myself.
