This is why unless you have a love of theatre you should NOT speak about theatre to Alan, it is his background, it is what helped him become a brilliant actor and something he holds dear to his heart, the interviewer, whilst many things were bad with this interview, that is one of the things that annoyed me the most.
I know, everyone is allowed their own opinion but still, the interviewer made himself look like an idiot but, thankfully, Alan put him in his place and politely done as well.
