So then that's why you can custom the kernel, have many distributions, many desktop environments/window manager (Microsoft will sue you for millions for changing it :), or then even the choice of all the software that will be in the computer without tons of crap preinstalled? I use Windows for performance, Linux for custom. Oh yea, you are ONLY customizing your Windows theme. If you want to completely change, good luck with that =-)
