Lanvin Fall 2011 Runway Show Paris Fashion Week

For Fall 2011, designer Alber Elbaz went for monochromatic outfits in classic silhouettes. Cocoon-like jackets and cape coats paired with pencil skirts along with wide-brimmed hats in black, brown, and red opened the show. But, as the show progressed, Alber demonstrated his emphasis on the female form with body hugging dresses with strong shoulders. Embellished necklines, structured hand bags, and menswear-inspired loafers added a finishing touch to the collection!

Sometime I wonder what is so great about Lanvin? All these garments are already designed by fashion designers who are not well known. It is ridiculous! Nothing innovative!

This is runway so most of the looks aren't practical for the everyday person. However I like to take inspiration from shows like these, the way they interpret the trends and so on, and try to incorporate them into my style. Some of the outfits can be artistically beautiful but belong only on the runway.
