The trip was organized by Jan Biegus in August 2003.We teamed up with Chris Holden and his friends from Chester BSAC to enjoy some scenic diving in the very strong tidal streams around the island. It made the diving harder but the Viz was excellent and for those that appreciate seafood every crack was full of large edible crabs while lobsters were walking around in broad daylight. Richard Bufton caught a Crayfish, the only one I have ever seen. After this dive we headed across the sound to a sea cave shown in another video

  • 1llangrannog--Lets try again, I did not collect the crayfish because I don't like seafood. Neither am I the fully clothed person in the video. He took the crayfish home to his wife and they enjoyed it. I have no objection to divers taking the odd crayfish or lobster. You clearly do. I suggest that tolerance of other people views is required even if you disagree with them.

  • 1llangrannog- Where in the video do I say I kept the Crayfish. I don't eat sea food but I have no objection to others doing so, Perhaps when you have more scuba diving experience you will realise that divers taking crayfish or lobster is the least intrusive form of harvesting the sea

  • So how did you put it back then, seeing you were fully clothed admiring your wares back at the campsite. Rubbish !! leave things in the sea so other people can see them in their natural environment. And far be it for me to educate an experienced diver !! but crayfish are not as abundant in Welsh waters as you think and therefore is very intrusive. They should be left where they are.

  • Ive just taken up scuba diving and cant believe you actually kept the crayfish !! well done you.You must be very proud of yourself.
