In an unbelievable moment at the recent Brick Mayoral Debate, Democrat mayoral candidate Dan Kelly demonstrated his absolute lack of a plan to lower property taxes and keep Brick Township affordable for middle-class families.
When questioned by a student on how he would reduce the local property tax burden, Mayor Kelly stammers for nearly a minute, and then apologetically states, "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm choking here."
After another failed attempt to respond to the question with a coherent answer, Mayor Kelly uncomfortably admits, "I'm...I'm sorry. I'm choking on this right now."
Although he is the Democratic candidate for Mayor, Dan Kelly seemed more like a high school student as he was clearly relieved when the buzzer rang, indicating his time to answer had expired.
Doesn't Brick Township deserve a Mayor with a real plan to lower property taxes, not one who needs to be saved by the bell?
Typical democratic answer as to how to deal with taxes.

That is bad and not acceptable!

What Kelly meant to say is that he planned to make all municipal services - police, sanatation, education, etc. - free of any cost to Brick residents, and that he planned in his second term to have the township pay its residents a small sum for the honor of having them live in Brick.
