  • @taiwanreef My friend paid a cop $5 (usd) dollar to get our of a multiple traffic violations... will $20 do a guy in?

They can take them from my cold dead hands

  • Mr. Stossel says he used to be against gun ownership, but now has written "More Guns, Less Crime". He used to be stupid, but now he is smart. This encourages me that people are not hopelessly stupid. Even those who believe all sorts of lies ("global warming/ climate change is a hoax", "rape is not about sex", "the world and all its life were created in six days", "a fetus is not a human being", "all cultures are equivalent", "we are not at war with Islam", etc.) may be brought to the Truth.

  • Sorry, bad writing: People killed with guns per capita, and then as percentage of total murders per capita.

  • @taiwanreef First problem. Switzerland does not have the requirement of a gun in every house. Second they do not have the LOWEST crime rate in the world, but they do have a low crime rate. Third Switzerland has gun control. They are not allowed to keep the ammo for their military arms at home, and have strict storage and handling laws. Third their culture is completely different from the US. Fifth, these people who have these military guns, have mandatory military training.

  • I wanna put my mouth on megyn kelly

  • @GodzillaDino "Google "Homicide by Country", go to Wiki"

I checked your "reference." I don't hold too much credence with Wikipedia as a source.

However, and quite unfortunately for your argument according to Wikipedia, for 2000-2009, Switzerland's intentional homicide rate was indicated as 0.71 while Japan's was 0.86.

Though Switzerland was not lowest and the difference wasn't major, they were lower than Japan on average for the decade for successfully committed intentional homicides.

  • @GodzillaDino

Asian societies like Japan are, for the most part, the exception regarding the fact that gun bans cause an increase in violent crime because of such society's level of subservience to authority. This is a HUGE cultural difference compared to the west, including Switzerland and particularly America, where the cultural norms are very different; what works in Japan may not work in the west.

However, violent crime does occur in Japan. One notable example is the Akihabara Massacre.

  • @GodzillaDino Move to JAPAN then asshole

  • @taiwanreef
